[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 7th, Kim Won-woong, President of the Gwangbokhoe, selected six Seoul Metropolitan Council members, including Yoo Yong, who submitted a proposal to the National Assembly urging the revision of the National Cemetery Act and the Decorations Act to eliminate pro-Japanese remnants, as "Politicians Practicing Historical Justice" for their firm historical awareness in their legislative activities.
On the same day, the Gwangbokhoe invited the selected Seoul Metropolitan Council members to the Gwangbokhoe and presented them with plaques of recognition.
The Seoul Metropolitan Council members selected as "Politicians Practicing Historical Justice" by the Gwangbokhoe this time are: Yoo Yong (member of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee), who submitted the proposal urging the revision of the National Cemetery Act and the Decorations Act to the National Assembly; Choi Woong-sik (member of the Urban Safety and Construction Committee), who proposed an ordinance to block the activities of Japanese war crime companies operating domestically; Hong Seong-ryong (Chairman of the Dokdo Protection Special Committee), who is active in the Dokdo Protection Special Committee; Kim Jeong-tae (Chairman of the Steering Committee); Park Soon-gyu (Vice Chairman of the Steering Committee); and Lee Kwang-ho (member of the Transportation Committee). The plaques bear the image of the flower of the pagoda tree, which symbolizes "steadfast justice."
The Gwangbokhoe plans to continue selecting politicians who show interest in eliminating pro-Japanese remnants and engage in legislative activities as "Politicians Practicing Historical Justice."
