원본보기 아이콘[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] BNK Financial Group announced on the 4th that it is carrying out various support programs to help local residents have a safe summer by preventing the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
First, from June to July, over two months, BNK conducted a ‘Cooling System Cleaning Support Project’ targeting 42 local social welfare facilities to support the creation of a comfortable and safe living environment for vulnerable groups in need of social protection.
BNK donated 50 million KRW in sponsorship funds for the support project to the Busan Community Chest of Korea, enabling the precise cleaning of over 700 air conditioners installed in local child care facilities, welfare facilities for the disabled, and nursing homes, aiming to prevent respiratory diseases caused by cooling system bacteria and the spread of COVID-19.
On the 10th of last month, to support local residents in overcoming COVID-19, BNK donated 400 ‘COVID-19 Daily Quarantine Supply Kits’ to Maechukji Village in Dong-gu.
The daily quarantine supply kits, consisting of masks and hand sanitizers, were delivered to each household in Maechukji Village through ‘Our Village,’ a welfare corporation operated by citizens.
A BNK Financial Group official said, “Although this is a difficult time for everyone due to the impact of COVID-19, we believe that if we join forces, we can overcome this crisis,” and added, “BNK will continue to discover support measures at the group level to help the local community.”
