They are competing by showcasing technological advancements that enhance customer satisfaction as well as hygiene.
Coway is running a rental fee discount promotion until next month as the demand for ice water purifiers increases due to the early heat. During the promotion period, customers who rent the 'Ice Water Purifier' and 'Ice Water Purifier Sparkling' will receive a rental fee discount of up to 4,000 KRW per month.
Especially, customers who have been using Coway ice water purifiers for a long time can rent at an even lower price. When exchanging an existing ice water purifier for a new product, a 30% discount on the monthly rental fee is provided. This promotion is available for some products (18 models) only. Additionally, customers can receive extra discounts when renting both the ice water purifier and Coway mattress products together.
A Coway representative said, "As more customers seek ice water purifiers due to the early heat, we have prepared a promotion with various discount benefits to enable the use of Coway ice water purifiers. We expect the upgraded Coway ice water purifier, with abundant ice and convenient functions, to gain great popularity."
SK Magic has launched the 'Grand Water Purifier' equipped with a large capacity of up to 6.5 liters of cold water and 3.5 liters of hot water. Based on a 120 ml cup, it can continuously dispense about 51 cups of cold water and about 30 cups of hot water. The company explains that this product is optimized for multi-use facilities such as schools, cafes, and restaurants.
User convenience features have also been enhanced. The dispensing height has been raised, and the drip tray width widened to allow more convenient and stable water dispensing. Continuous dispensing is also easy. Instead of having to keep pressing the dispensing lever, users can turn the dial on the water outlet faucet to easily and conveniently get large amounts of water.
The water purifier’s inherent safety has been maximized. It uses a stainless steel tank that is resistant to contamination, corrosion, bacteria, and free from heavy metal concerns. The filter system offers two types: a four-stage nanotech filter and a reverse osmosis (RO) filter. Users can choose according to their environment.

Wonbong introduced the 'Ice Water Purifier Ice Care' through the Luhens brand. It is a direct water type ice water purifier capable of purifying water, dispensing hot and cold water, and making ice. It especially strengthens hygiene by applying various care systems.
First, before product installation, a 'Water Pipe Care Service' is provided using special equipment that utilizes water and air compression waves. This effectively removes foreign substances inside the kitchen water pipes connected to the water purifier. After installation, a 'Sterilization Kit Care Service' is provided that periodically cleans the water flow pipes by using water.
Instead of nickel plating, stainless steel ice-making rods are used to provide clean ice, and the 'Move Ice Making System' removes bubbles in the water before ice making with fine waves. Additionally, ultraviolet (UV) LED is installed for automatic and manual care of the dispensing faucet, ice outlet, and ice storage, which are prone to bacterial growth, adding the 'Triple UV Safety Care Technology.'
The product also features a five-stage filter system completed through water purifier filter technology. It applies a stainless steel direct water pipe for cold water, hot water, purified water, and ice, adding an 'Airless Direct Water System' that completely blocks outside air, enabling fresh drinking water, according to the company.
