The Active Accelerator program by History Venture Investment, established to support early-stage startups in South Korea, is gaining explosive popularity among startups.
According to History Venture Investment, which is overseeing the application process on the 19th, applications surged from the first day of accepting applications for the 1st batch of accelerating support companies on the 15th, exceeding the initially planned 50 companies in just one day, leading to an increase in the number of participating companies to 100 per day.
History Venture Investment has expanded the application channels and plans to implement a reservation application system for 100 companies, allowing them to participate preferentially in the preliminary 2nd batch support round after the deadline.
The main applicant startups are diverse, ranging from small business-based platforms to companies in 4th industrial revolution technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and unmanned automation. History Venture Investment will conduct a multifaceted evaluation of the business performance and investment potential of various startups, perform an initial screening, and from this week onward, request additional materials from qualified companies to proceed with follow-up review and investment screening.
Park Daesung, Executive Director of History Venture Investment, said, "This result has served as an opportunity to confirm the interest in startup investment and the differentiation in perception between existing other companies' investment programs and our Active Accelerator program. We are receiving continuous requests from startups wishing to actively expand their business and receive various support through this program." Meanwhile, History Venture Investment is an affiliate of History Investment Advisory, which manages investment assets of about 180 billion KRW, and is expected to establish itself as a venture investment company specialized in company builder-type accelerating by leveraging its strengths in growth company investment and IPO fields.
History Venture Investment is expanding startup discovery and nurturing activities centered on the Active Accelerator Program (hereafter AA Program), which provides selected startups with up to 100 million KRW in initial funding and support across business model establishment and overall management, and the H Office Program, which provides office space, running programs that produce outstanding startups.
This program is sponsored and collaborated on by ScaleLab, a major domestic accelerator.
History Venture Investment plans to select participating companies through an ongoing support program and quarterly startup competitions, providing support in three-month cycles. Companies selected for the AA Program receive up to 100 million KRW, expert mentoring and coaching, and benefits such as business idea presentation IR events. Applications are accepted through the History Venture Investment website, and applicants submit necessary documents including business plans via email as guided.
