[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] LG Electronics is recruiting a trial group to experience the LG Dios dishwasher, a large-capacity product equipped with a True Steam function.
LG Electronics announced on the 25th that it will recruit the ‘LG Dios Dishwasher: A Bigger New World of Dishwashing Experience Group’ from the 25th of this month to the 5th of next month. The recruitment targets are ▲customers currently using small dishwashers regardless of manufacturer ▲large families with a lot of dishwashing ▲two-person families who cook frequently. Applicants must enter personal information, SNS accounts, and whether they own a small dishwasher on the LG Electronics event website.
LG Electronics plans to select 50 applicants as the trial group and announce the results around mid-April. The trial group will use the Dios dishwasher steam function directly for about three months starting from the end of April. LG Electronics intends to provide the dishwasher to trial customers who complete all missions, including posting reviews on their own SNS such as blogs and Instagram.
Through this trial group, LG Electronics plans to inform customers who have experienced inconvenience or felt the capacity was insufficient while using small dishwashers about the convenience of large-capacity dishwashers.
According to an internal survey conducted on about 1,100 customers who purchased LG dishwashers, LG Electronics stated that 96% of users of the 3-5 person household (12-place setting) product said they would buy a large-capacity product again in the future. On the other hand, about 70% of users of the small 1-2 person household (6-place setting) product said they want to buy a large-capacity product next time. The LG Dios dishwasher is a large-capacity product for 3-5 person households (12-place setting), allowing large cooking utensils such as frying pans and pots to be washed together with dishes at once.
LG Electronics’ LG Dios dishwasher, launched in March last year, is recognized for significantly enhanced washing power, hygiene, and convenience compared to previous products. According to tests by the Korea Conformity Laboratories, the 100-degree True Steam installed in this product removed 99.999% of harmful bacteria such as E. coli, Salmonella, and Listeria. Additionally, tests by the World Kimchi Research Institute showed it removed 99.999% of norovirus, hepatitis A virus, and enterohemorrhagic E. coli.
The tornado washing blades create three-dimensional water jets from multiple outlets to clean dishes quickly and thoroughly, which is also a strength of the LG Dios dishwasher. In addition to the inverter DD motor with a 10-year free warranty for durability, it features a smart shelf system with 3-step height adjustment, multi-purpose shelves, and customized dish racks.
LG Electronics explained that through a ‘Dishwasher vs. Hand Washing Comparative Behavioral Study’ conducted last year with Professor Ji-hyun Lee’s team at Pusan National University’s Sensory Science Laboratory, the washing power of this product was proven to be about 26% better than hand washing.
Yoon Sung-il, head of Korea HA Marketing at LG Electronics, said, “We will strive to effectively convey the differentiated steam function and the convenience of large capacity of the Dios dishwasher.”
