[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Yushin] Gyeongbuk Province has published a guidebook titled "Where Shall We Go Today," introducing 60 cafes and bakeries representing the cities and counties.
According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 6th, this book reflects the recent tourism trend of coffee and cafe travel by featuring 2 to 3 places per city and county, including locations that highlight the beauty of old hanok houses, places with outstanding interior design, and spots where visitors can enjoy beautiful nature.
The guidebook is organized into four regions: the East Coast, Northern, Central-Western, and Daegu suburbs, and includes nearby tourist attractions and travel times.
The province prioritized local cafes over large franchise stores when selecting places for the guidebook. Among the recommended locations by cities and counties, selections were made considering visitor numbers, social network service (SNS) membership counts, and frequency of TV broadcasts and media exposure.
The province plans to distribute the guidebook at major tourist information centers and hotels, and promote it both online and offline by posting it on the official Gyeongbuk tourism website, "Gyeongbuk Nadri."
Additionally, a "Cafe Travel Fam Tour" will be promoted to explore cafes and surrounding tourist sites by region.
Kim Sangcheol, Director of Culture, Tourism, and Sports Bureau of Gyeongbuk Province, said, "We hope visitors will regain relaxation and create good memories by visiting Gyeongbuk's cafes and bakeries, which are great to visit in all four seasons, and enjoy tea and coffee."
