Participants who valued being together over setting records filled the starting line of a running event hosted by The Asia Business Daily. They ran with stories of their own, from parents pushing strollers to a grandmother taking on the challenge with her granddaughter and a son matching pace with his mother, who is about to undergo surgery.

Song, who took part in the event with his wife, Jeon Hyejin, 43, their son, Song Woohyeon, 12, and their daughter, Song Yuna, 10, ran with his children for the first time after taking up running about a year ago. He chose the unusual costume himself so the children would enjoy the race and complete it without getting tired. "Bukangi has been popular lately, so I chose a shark costume," Song said. "It motivated us, and we were able to run while having fun together."
