View original imageYangju City and Yangju Police Station had conducted intensive checks of morning traffic conditions on this section from Nov. 2 to 5. They adjusted signal timings, focusing on the busy stretch between Yuyang Intersection and Yuyang Elementary School, and synchronized signals between intersections so vehicles could pass through consecutively. The city said travel time had decreased on the stretch between Yangju Hyanggyo and Songchu Buil Restaurant following the adjustments.
The city plans to continue monitoring traffic volumes and congestion with Yangju Police Station and adjust signal timings in response to changes in traffic volume.
The city said construction of the road between Sanbuk and Bangseong will be completed by the end of this year, and work to expand and pave the road between Baekseok and Yangju Station is scheduled to begin next year. The city expects the expanded road network to distribute traffic currently concentrated on Local Route 98.
