Pohang City’s Fall Traditional Market Festivals Bring ‘Vibrancy’ to Commercial Districts... Youth Shooting Team Camp Also Concludes Successfully
Pohang City is making every effort to boost local spending and revitalize the economy through a series of diverse festivals at traditional markets and alleyway commercial districts, while also strengthening its status as a hub for sports after successfully completing a training camp for promising young shooters from across the country.
To bring vitality to traditional markets and alleyway commercial districts struggling with changing consumer patterns, Pohang City is holding a series of fall festivals that highlight the distinct character of each area and market.

The festive spirit will continue in November. The "Ssangsa Festival" was held on November 6 at Street of Youth, and the "Pohang Traditional Market Outstanding Products Expo" will take place from November 10 to 12 around Yeongildae Beach.
The expo will feature discounts on local specialties and food, a major sale of kimjang supplies, a 100-won auction of outstanding products, and cultural performances, all expected to attract residents and tourists.
The "Haengbok Eoullim Madang" in Guryongpo on November 14 and the "Donghaeng Festival" on November 15 will follow, bringing further vitality to the local commercial districts.
The "2026 National Youth Shooting Team's Second Training Camp," held at the Pohang Indoor Shooting Range, has safely concluded after a 12-day schedule.
Organized by the Korea Shooting Federation and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and others, the camp brought together 43 promising air rifle and pistol shooters selected from among third-year middle school and first-year high school students nationwide, along with professional coaches.
In addition to shooting techniques and physical conditioning, the athletes received tailored technical coaching using a video analysis system to closely review their posture, aim, and trigger pull.
Notably, both training camps this year were held in Pohang, demonstrating that the city has firmly established itself as a key training destination for shooting in South Korea.
