Duksung Women's University announced on November 6 that it had signed an "MOU on Fostering AI Talent and Expanding AI Education" with Seoul Women's University, Sungshin Women's University, and the NAVER Connect Foundation. The agreement was established to combine the educational and research capabilities of three women's universities in Seoul with the NAVER Connect Foundation's expertise in AI education, enhance students' ability to use AI, and build a sustainable framework for inter-university cooperation in AI education through the sharing of educational resources.

The signing ceremony was held the previous day in the main conference room of the administration building at Duksung Women's University. Attendees included Duksung Women's University President Min Jaehong, Won Donghwan, head of the Center for University Education Innovation, and Na Jeongjo, head of the Office of Public Relations; Seoul Women's University President Lee Yunseon; Sungshin Women's University President Lee Seonggeun; and NAVER Connect Foundation Chair Gong Gijung, along with other key officials.

Under the agreement, the four institutions will expand cooperation in various areas, including operating educational programs and mentoring to foster AI talent; linking, using, and sharing AI education content; and developing community-based educational case studies through cooperation in education and research.

In particular, the three women's universities plan to share their educational and research resources and human talent, and combine them with the NAVER Connect Foundation's experience and content in AI education to create an educational environment where all students can develop AI skills, regardless of their major.

Duksung Women's University President Min Jaehong said, "AI has become a core competency that is transforming every major and industry, going beyond being a technology confined to specific fields. We will combine the educational capabilities of the three women's universities with the NAVER Connect Foundation's expertise to help students grow into future leaders who can use AI to solve problems."

Seoul Women's University President Lee Yunseon said, "In the AI era, it is important to provide educational opportunities for everyone to understand and use new technologies, regardless of their major. I hope this collaboration will serve as a starting point for sharing educational resources among universities and giving students broader opportunities to learn and take on challenges."

Sungshin Women's University President Lee Seonggeun said, "In this rapidly changing AI era, universities have an important role and responsibility in enabling women to lead the changes shaping future society. We will draw on inter-university cooperation and the NAVER Connect Foundation's expertise to achieve tangible results in AI education."

NAVER Connect Foundation Chair Gong Gijung said, "The key to AI education is not merely acquiring technical skills, but developing the ability to identify and solve problems independently. We will actively support students in developing the skills they need in the AI era by expanding cooperation in educational content and mentoring."

The four institutions plan to develop specific educational programs and joint cooperation initiatives through future working-level consultations, and establish an ongoing framework for cooperation to extend the results of AI education to universities and local communities.
