Jin Air, Labor and Management Tentatively Agree on Wage Deal; 2% Increase in Total Wages
"Strengthening Cooperation Through a Labor-Management Culture of Mutual Growth"
Jin Air said on Nov. 6 that labor and management had reached a tentative agreement on wages.
Jin Air's labor and management reached the agreement the previous day at the company's headquarters in Magok, Seoul, with negotiating committee members from both sides in attendance.
The main terms of the tentative agreement include a wage increase of up to 2% of total wages for general staff, technical staff and aircraft maintenance staff; a 2% increase in base pay and flight allowances for cabin crew; and a 2% increase in base pay for pilots, along with an increase in landing fees.
The company said that ahead of the launch of "Integrated Jin Air," labor and management each made concessions, once again demonstrating the value of "mutual growth and cooperation."
Labor and management have steadily built strong trust since signing a "Joint Declaration on Labor-Management Cooperation and Mutual Growth" in 2019. In particular, in 2024, they laid a solid foundation for the launch of an integrated low-cost carrier through a "Labor-Management Cooperation Declaration Ceremony for Integration and Mutual Growth."

The tentative agreement will be finalized after a vote by union members. If approved, the wage increases will be applied retroactively from April 2026 and paid accordingly. A Jin Air official said, "This was an opportunity to reaffirm the strong trust between labor and management," adding, "We will continue to strengthen cooperation based on a labor-management culture of mutual growth."
