The TOPS Program, operated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups through the Korea SMEs and Startups Distribution Center, supports small businesses as they grow into small enterprises through online channels. It identifies and supports small businesses with strong growth potential across three phases. Phase 1 support began in April for 3,500 small businesses, and Phase 2 support was completed after 700 small businesses were selected from August through October.

A product evaluation to select small businesses for Phase 3 was held on Oct. 20 at Magok M Signature in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. Sixty small businesses with strong results from Phase 2 and experts from related industries gathered at the event to evaluate their brands and products. Of these, 30 small businesses with strong growth potential were finally selected.

Starting this month, the 30 selected businesses will receive Phase 3 support tailored to different platforms to help them scale up, including domestic and overseas pop-up stores and broadcast product placement (PPL). On Dec. 9, the Korea SMEs and Startups Distribution Center plans to hold the TOPS Connect Day in Sangam-dong, Seoul, to share success stories from the program and present awards to outstanding Phase 3 businesses, as well as host a buyer consultation event.

Lee Taesik, CEO of the Korea SMEs and Startups Distribution Center, said, "The TOPS Program, which began this year with 3,500 small businesses, has reached its final phase. The 30 selected businesses have been highly rated for their support results and growth potential, so they will be able to achieve even greater growth through Phase 3 support. We hope you will join us in supporting the success of TOPS small businesses."
