It is the first expansion abroad of Another Campus, an experiential space operated at universities in South Korea, including Seoul National University, Hanyang University, Pusan National University and UNIST.
The lounge features LG Electronics' latest innovative products, including the OLED evo G6, the portable lifestyle screen StanbyME 2, the Styler and UltraGear gaming monitors. CordZero cordless vacuum cleaners, InstaView refrigerators, microwave ovens and the PuriCare AeroTower are also on display. Students can naturally experience the products as they study and relax in their daily lives. An LG Styler has also been installed in the university's career center, which provides students with career information.
LG Electronics plans to use the lounge as a campus hub for engagement and attracting future talent. The gaming zone will host OLED gaming competitions in partnership with the university's esports club. Other events, including xboom singing contests and campus parties, will be held in succession. Career programs will also be offered, including company and job introductions, internship information sessions and talks featuring company executives.
LG Electronics will strengthen its collaboration with undergraduate and graduate research projects in artificial intelligence (AI) and engineering. It will also organize visits to its Tennessee production subsidiary and expand joint activities with locally established affiliates, including LG Chem and LG Energy Solution.
LG Electronics has been targeting the U.S. market since 2018, when it began operating its production subsidiary in Tennessee. In 2023, the Tennessee plant was named a World Economic Forum (WEF) Lighthouse Factory. The WEF's Lighthouse Network recognizes production facilities that have successfully adopted key Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies. More recently, the plant has expanded its role as a key hub for demonstrating physical AI, a future growth driver.
