Wang Jeonghun, who has clinched this season's Rookie of the Year award, got off to a strong start in Jeju.
On Nov. 5, Wang picked up four birdies without a bogey in the first round of the Tour Championship, the final event of the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) season, at the Valley-Teddy Course (par 72) at Teddy Valley Golf & Resort in Seogwipo, Jeju Island. He carded a 4-under-par 68 to share the lead with Ok Taehoon.
"I'm very satisfied to have played a bogey-free round in such windy conditions. I don't know what the weather will be like over the next three days, but I plan to stay calm even if it remains windy," Wang said.
