Donates 3.43 Million Won in Proceeds from the ReShare Market

20 Busan Port Authority and Terminal Employees Volunteer to Serve Meals

Those who keep Busan Port moving prepared a warm meal for neighbors in the community. They donated proceeds from an Anabada market and personally cooked samgyetang to serve to vulnerable residents.

The Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Song Sanggeun) announced on November 5 that it had held a meal service volunteer event for vulnerable residents at the Busan Briquette Bank’s Community Meal Center.

The volunteer event was organized to give back to the community with the 3.43 million won in proceeds from the 2026 Anabada Market (ReShare Market), held jointly by the Busan Port Authority and nine Busan Port terminal operators. The donation was used for the Busan Briquette Bank’s community meal program.

Earlier, on October 27, the Busan Port Authority provided meals to around 70 people who had contributed to the country and their veterans’ families. At the second volunteer event, it served samgyetang to around 180 vulnerable residents. Around 250 people received meals across the two events.

More than 20 people took part, including employees of the Busan Port Authority, Sinseondae-Gamman Terminal, and Korea Hutchison Terminal. They handled everything from preparing the ingredients and cooking the samgyetang to serving meals and clearing the tables. They also helped clean the laundry facility at the Busan Briquette Bank, which vulnerable residents can use free of charge.

President Song Sanggeun said, "It is all the more meaningful to give the market proceeds back to the community and have employees from across the Busan Port community volunteer in person. We will continue working with terminal operators on activities that benefit the local community."
