Popeyes Expands Customer Reach with Chicken Buy-One-Get-One-Free Promotion and New Menu Launch
Popeyes said it is expanding its reach among consumers in Korea through a range of marketing activities, including a chicken buy-one-get-one-free promotion, new product launches and mobile app-exclusive coupons.
Popeyes currently runs its regular “Chibamchibam” chicken promotion at all its stores. Customers receive a buy-one-get-one-free chicken offer every day from 8 p.m. until closing, and the same offer is available all day every Wednesday, with no time limit.
According to the company, the number of customers visiting during Chibamchibam promotion hours has more than doubled compared with before. Popeyes is encouraging store visits by offering both limited-time discounts and promotions that customers can use regularly.
The company has also introduced a new menu item. “Banban Chibak” consists of eight pieces of chicken in two flavors and two drinks, and is priced at KRW 14,900. It was designed to meet demand from consumers looking to purchase chicken and drinks together.
On October 19, 2026, the company launched the “Louis Chicken Fillet Burger,” made with a patty of fresh domestic chicken breast, for KRW 5,900. Popeyes offers a range of burgers alongside its chicken and also runs related discount promotions.
Popeyes is also expanding customer benefits through its mobile app. The company offers app-exclusive coupons every week, and its app membership is nearing 100,000. It plans to link app coupons with in-store promotions to attract new customers and encourage existing customers to return.
The company has also revamped its sauce lineup. In September, it refreshed “Puk Sauce,” a large-size dipping sauce launched in April, and introduced four varieties: Hot Cheese, Cajun Chili, White Mustard and Black Pepper. The sauces are available in two sizes, 100 g and 400 g, so customers can dip their chicken deeply into the sauce.
This event is expected to help the brand firmly establish its distinctive position in Korea’s franchise market by offering high-quality products at reasonable prices.
Paek Jongmin, CEO of Popeyes Korea, said, “This year was one in which we introduced Popeyes’ product quality to more customers. By creating experiences that customers can enjoy and talk about themselves, such as Puk Sauce and Chibamchibam, we saw both chicken sales and interest in the brand grow.”
He added, “We will continue to offer reasonable prices and new experiences while maintaining the product quality rooted in our Louisiana heritage.”
Woo Geonju, head of the Popeyes marketing team, said, “Rather than showing customers one-way advertising, we focused on building a brand they seek out and talk about themselves. Experiences that customers take part in directly, such as Puk Sauce creator content and birthday parties, naturally became topics of conversation.”

Popeyes prepares its chicken by marinating domestic chilled chicken for 12 hours, then battering and frying it in-store. The company currently operates 26 directly managed stores, mainly in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon, and plans to launch a franchise business within the year to expand its business base in Korea.
