Seorim Dabok-gil Food Market and Sinwon Market Night Market
Gwanak-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Jun-hee), announced on November 5 that it will hold a series of nighttime festivals featuring food and performances this month at Seorim Dabok-gil Alley Shopping District and Sinwon Market. The events are part of the "Nighttime and Food Culture Revitalization Festival," which began in June at Bongcheon Dalbit-gil Alley Shopping District and will visit 25 commercial districts across the district through December.

Seorim Dabok-gil was newly designated as an alley shopping district this year. The event will include a cashback promotion offering Onnuri gift certificates to shoppers on a first-come, first-served basis, a prize drawing and promotional merchandise giveaways. Visitors can also take part in caricature and calligraphy activities, enjoy performances by local artists and watch a resident talent show.
On November 14, the "Eat, Enjoy and Come Together at Sinwon Market Night Market" will be held at Sinwon Market, alongside Byeolbit Naerincheon. The program will include food and beer booths, stage performances, Digital Onnuri cashback, a prize drawing and hands-on activities. The merchants' associations will work with relevant organizations to inspect potential hazards, including fire risks, in advance and establish an on-site response system.
On November 3, Byeolbit Naerincheon was selected in Seoul's "Seoul Starlight Attractions" competition. Gwanak-gu plans to install media art, performance facilities and seasonal gardens across an approximately 17,226-square-meter area from Sillim Bridge to Bongnim Bridge, and develop the site into an attraction that combines nighttime tourism with local spending by linking it to nearby commercial districts.
Gwanak-gu operates 22 alley shopping districts, the most of any autonomous district in Seoul. Recently, the Namhyeon-dong commercial district was selected for Seoul's "Moonlight Night Market Development Project" and will receive up to KRW 2 billion in support.
