Namyangju City (Mayor Choi Hyeondeok) said it would begin operating Gyeongheomieum, a work knowledge-sharing service, and Silmuhansu, an AI-based question-and-answer service, on November 4. The services are intended to help new employees adjust to their work and build a store of work-related knowledge and know-how scattered across departments.

Gyeongheomieum brings together and provides guidance on handling work matters such as leave, payroll and accounting, along with frequently asked questions. Employees can log in to NAP, search for work-related information by field and find the information they need.

If a search does not answer their question, employees can go to Silmuhansu and submit it. AI provides real-time answers, and fellow employees can add their practical experience and opinions. The service also includes a feature that uses AI to refine the wording of questions and answers.

Topics include civil complaints, personnel and leave, budgets and accounting, audits and regulations, documents and reports, and workplace life. The city plans to operate the services in November with a focus on work common to all departments, such as leave and payroll, and expand them to work across all departments starting in December.

The city plans to use the two services to systematically build up employees' work experience and ensure that work-related knowledge is passed on even when the employee in charge changes.

The head of Namyangju City's Smart City Division said, "Gyeongheomieum and Silmuhansu were created to help employees resolve questions that arise at work and share their experiences with one another. We will continue to improve work-support features so employees can use AI easily and conveniently."
