Danal Entertainment Becomes Title Sponsor of '2026 Danal APAN STAR AWARDS'... Expands IP Business
Danal Entertainment is expanding its intellectual property (IP) business by becoming the title sponsor of one of Korea's leading drama awards ceremonies. The strategy is to expand its business from its existing focus on music, performances and characters into dramas and actors, while strengthening a business model that connects content with brands through a new marketing platform.
Danal Entertainment, Danal's global IP platform company, announced on November 4 that it will be the title sponsor of the 2026 Danal APAN STAR AWARDS.
The APAN STAR AWARDS is an integrated Korean drama awards ceremony that has been held since 2012. This year's ceremony will take place on December 23 at Gyedang Hall, Sangmyung Art Center, in Seoul, and is scheduled to be broadcast on tvN. It recognizes Korean dramas and actors across a range of platforms, including terrestrial broadcasters, general programming channels, cable, online video services (OTT) and web dramas.
Through this sponsorship, Danal Entertainment plans to raise awareness of the Danal brand while expanding its network of partnerships with content production companies, talent agencies and brands. The company aims to identify new business opportunities by combining IP related to dramas and actors with its existing businesses in music distribution, performances and characters.
In particular, the company intends to use the sponsorship to strengthen the business foundation of its new marketing platform, NOVA. NOVA connects IP with broadcasters and media, brands and fandoms to increase content awareness and business value. Starting with this awards ceremony, Danal Entertainment plans to broaden the points of connection between content and fandoms and turn these connections into IP growth and commercialization.
"Our participation in the 2026 Danal APAN STAR AWARDS is a strategic investment to connect diverse IP with fans and expand partnerships with content and brands," said Danal Entertainment CEO Hyun Neungho. "We will expand investment and partnerships in awards ceremonies and broadcasting and media, and combine our marketing and commercialization capabilities to build a business model that drives IP growth and generates tangible revenue."
