SKT Q3 Operating Profit Hits 552.3 Billion Won... Up 1,040% YoY
SK Telecom announced on the 4th that its consolidated operating profit for the third quarter of this year was tentatively tallied at 552.3 billion won. This was a 1,040.3% increase from the same period last year, with operating profit alone rising more than 11-fold.
Revenue for the same period increased 13.1% to 4.4973 trillion won, driven by growth in its wireless and wireline telecommunications businesses.
On a standalone basis, third-quarter revenue came to 3.1563 trillion won, operating profit to 413.5 billion won, and net profit to 298.9 billion won.
SK Telecom said its telecommunications business continues to grow. Wireless revenue showed a gradual recovery following a shift toward marketing focused on customer lifetime value (LTV). Wireline telecommunications revenue also grew 7.4% year over year, supported in part by an increase in high-speed internet subscribers.
