Ran, Jumped and Enjoyed Sports... Busan Office of Education Holds Track and Field Festival

At Busan Asiad Auxiliary Stadium on October 31

An event was held in Busan where students, parents, and teachers came together to enjoy track and field and take part in sports activities.

The Busan Office of Education held the "2026 Busan Track and Field Festival" on October 31 at the Busan Asiad Auxiliary Stadium, with more than 1,000 participants, including students, parents, and teachers.

The event was organized to give students the chance to experience a variety of track and field events firsthand and enjoy sports, while bringing the educational community together to socialize and communicate.

The event began with a cheerleading warm-up routine and dance performances by students. Track and field competitions followed by grade level, with students demonstrating the skills they had honed and cheering one another on as they competed.

Booths where participants could try track and field events firsthand were also set up around the stadium. Students developed an interest in track and field through a variety of activities, while parents spent time taking part in the programs with their children. Specialized booths also provided information about careers in sports and healthy lifestyle habits.

Superintendent of Education Kim Seokjun said, "This event gave students the chance to enjoy track and field, grow up healthy, and, for talented students, discover their potential. We will continue to provide full support so that students can enjoy a variety of sports activities and outstanding track and field athletes can be nurtured."
