"My husband and I first met two years ago as alumni of MIT," she said. "At first, we respected each other as fellow alumni and naturally got to know one another." She said Sohn had initially been a respected senior who had led technology and investment on the global stage. As they spent more time together, they came to understand each other deeply, and she opened her heart to his warm character and sincerity.
"More than all his social achievements, my husband is someone with a warm character who genuinely cares for and loves me, and is always considerate and respectful," Kim said, adding affectionately, "He finds my tall stature very cute."
The wedding was a private, intimate ceremony attended only by family at the Bürgenstock Resort near Lake Lucerne in Switzerland. The resort is also known as the place where actress Audrey Hepburn married actor Mel Ferrer in 1954.

She added, "The blessings and congratulations from everyone who cares about me mean so much. I am truly grateful."
Born in 1981, Kim won first place in the 2003 SBS Supermodel Contest and went on to work in the international fashion industry. She later studied at MIT and currently works as a trend analyst.
