BL Pharmtech to Attend 'BIO Europe 2026,' Discuss Key Pipeline with Global Pharma Giants
BL Pharmtech will participate in Europe’s largest pharmaceutical and biotech partnering event to explore licensing opportunities for its key pipeline assets and co-development opportunities with global pharmaceutical companies. The company aims to expand overseas business partnerships by highlighting its development strategy for next-generation cancer treatments, including its lead candidate, ML301.
BL Pharmtech announced on November 4 that it will participate in BIO-Europe 2026, which will be held in Cologne, Germany, from November 9 to 11.
BIO-Europe is a global pharmaceutical and biotech event hosted by EBD Group. Biotech and pharmaceutical companies and investment institutions from around the world take part in technology exchanges, one-on-one partnering meetings, exhibitions, and conferences.
At the event, BL Pharmtech plans to explore licensing opportunities for its lead pipeline asset, ML301, with European biotech companies and global pharmaceutical companies. It will also discuss co-development and business partnerships with companies that have immuno-oncology drugs, antibody-focused companies that could use its next-generation molecular glue degrader (MGD) platform, global biopharmaceutical companies, and European investment institutions.
In particular, the company plans to further define the development direction of its follow-on pipeline, focusing on combination strategies involving ML301. Key topics for discussion will also include ML303, a combination strategy involving antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and drug-antibody conjugates (DACs) that use next-generation smart payloads, and ML304, a brain tumor treatment strategy that uses a blood-brain barrier (BBB) shuttle.
Discussions on collaboration with U.S. company Amgen will also continue. A visit to Amgen's U.S. headquarters, which has been pursued since ML301 was selected for Amgen's "Golden Ticket" program, is being coordinated to coincide with the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference in January 2027. The Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) is leading efforts to develop partnering strategies and research exchanges.
At BIO USA last June, Amgen requested that the development scope of ML301 be expanded beyond ALT cancers to include cancers with high unmet medical needs, such as small cell lung cancer and colorectal cancer.
Jung Kwangho, chief technology officer (CTO) of BL Pharmtech, cited the Phase 3 clinical trial results for small cell lung cancer presented recently at the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress (ESMO 2026) and emphasized the potential for combination therapy with ML301. "We expect that combining the mechanisms of action of Amgen's bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) platform, Imdelltra (generic name: tarlatamab), and BL Pharmtech's ML301 could create synergies that improve responses to immuno-oncology treatment," he said.
