Two-Pronged EV and ICE Strategy Pays Off... Audi Hits the '10,000-Unit Milestone' a Month Earlier Than Last Year
Records More Than 10,000 Sales for the Second Consecutive Year
Audi Korea announced on November 3 that it had surpassed 10,000 cumulative sales in Korea a month earlier than last year. By diversifying its product portfolio since last year, the company has recorded sales of more than 10,000 units for two consecutive years and is continuing its sales recovery in the Korean market.
Audi is responding to a wide range of customer needs by offering key electric vehicle models alongside vehicles with internal combustion engines. After broadening its product selection through a major new-model launch campaign last year, the company is building on that foundation this year by strengthening its competitiveness in key segments.
Audi revamped its lineup last year, launching as many as 16 new models. Key examples include the Q6 e-tron and A6 e-tron, built on the next-generation PPE platform dedicated to electric vehicles, and the A5 and Q5, based on the new PPC platform for vehicles with internal combustion engines.
This year, Audi added four new models, including the A6, A6 Black Edition, Q3 and Q5, strengthening its product lineup so customers can choose models suited to a variety of lifestyles and driving conditions. The strategy is to expand the range of vehicles on offer while also increasing customer choice through a variety of powertrain configurations.
In particular, the A6 premium business sedan, launched in April, is driving sales. All A6 trims feature specifications tailored specifically for the Korean market, and the model was designed to reflect the needs of Korean customers.
During the model's launch in Korea, Audi CEO Gernot Döllner, who visited the country, emphasized: "The A6 embodies Audi's new direction. It offers a new driving experience that combines refined design, an enhanced digital experience, sportiness and comfort. It will establish itself as a key model in the Korean market and play an important role in driving our growth strategy."

An Audi Korea representative said, "Building on our entry into the '10,000-unit club' a month earlier than last year, we plan to communicate Audi's distinctive premium value more clearly through enhanced product competitiveness and a differentiated customer experience. From the moment customers choose a vehicle through their everyday ownership experience, we will continue to earn their trust and satisfaction and further strengthen Audi's presence in the Korean market."
