The “Haengbok Ttukttak Medical Volunteer Service” is one of KB Securities’ signature social contribution programs. The company has partnered with the Open Doctors Society to run it regularly since 2023, aiming to reduce the healthcare gap between urban and rural areas and promote shared growth with local communities. After providing medical support in three areas in the first half of this year—Jinan, North Jeolla Province; Uiryeong, South Gyeongsang Province; and Uljin, North Gyeongsang Province—the program reached Gangwon-do for the first time to extend a helping hand.
Volunteers included specialist medical staff from the Open Doctors Society in internal medicine, rehabilitation medicine, orthopedics, Korean medicine, and dentistry, as well as employees from KB Securities’ headquarters. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the volunteer team provided personalized care, including medical consultations, specialized examinations, and pain treatment, to about 130 local residents who visited the site. They also distributed household first-aid medicine kits, nutritious snacks, and honey sets to seniors after their appointments.
To help boost the local economy, KB Securities purchased “Odaessal,” a specialty product of Cheorwon. It donated the rice to Huimang Regional Children’s Center, a local child welfare facility, in a warm act of giving that linked support for local farmers with care for vulnerable groups.
