Uijeongbu City, led by Mayor Kim Wongi, announced on November 3 that the Family Section of the Uijeongbu City Childcare Center Association held the “Infant Play and Learning Portfolio Exhibition” on November 2 at City Hall’s main building and Everyone’s Playground.

Held under the theme “A Big World Made by Little Hands,” the exhibition was organized to share the children’s play and learning processes and to highlight the importance of infant care and the value of play-centered childcare.

About 200 items were displayed, including works made by infants and toddlers at their childcare centers and portfolios documenting their growth. They showed how the children learn and grow through everyday play and a variety of activities.

Attendees included Park Myeongsun, chair of the Family Section of the Gyeonggi-do Childcare Center Association, and Song Eunhui, president of the Uijeongbu City Childcare Center Association. More than 300 people, including infants and toddlers, parents, and childcare staff, visited the exhibition.

Park Sinyeong, head of the Family Section of the Uijeongbu City Childcare Center Association, said, “Childcare centers are precious places where children first experience society outside their homes and begin learning. We will create a warm childcare environment by paying close attention to the growth of each and every child.”

Uijeongbu Mayor Kim Wongi said, “Each work on display reflects the children’s small steps in learning and growth, making the exhibition all the more meaningful. I am grateful to the directors and teachers who devote themselves to their work despite the challenging conditions in childcare.” He added, “We will do our utmost to create a childcare environment where children can grow up healthy and happy.”
