A total of 356 works were submitted by 70 photographers from across the country.

The winning works were selected following a public judging session on October 17 by seven accredited judges of the Korea Photographers Association.

The Gold Prize went to Cheon Gyeongho for “Early Morning.” The Silver Prize was awarded to Lee Hyeonhui for “Winter at Janggak Falls” and Jo Byeongik for “Sangju National Cultural Heritage Night Walk.” The awards also included three Bronze Prizes, four Honorable Mentions, four Encouragement Awards, and 60 Selected Works.

The winning works will be exhibited in the exhibition hall of Sangju Culture Center from November 6 to 9. Sangju City plans to use them in various media, including social media and promotional booklets, to showcase the region’s natural scenery and cultural and tourism resources.

Mayor An Jaemin said, “I hope the winning works will help spread the word about Sangju’s beauty and many attractions.”

The photographs are expected to become a new promotional asset highlighting Sangju’s nature, culture, and local tourism.
