Jo Hwiseong, CEO of Kyobo Asset Management, took part in a nationwide relay campaign to prevent victims of illegal private lending and promote a culture of inclusive finance.
On November 3, Kyobo Asset Management said that Jo had joined the “Finance that Saves Lives” relay campaign organized by the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency.
The Finance that Saves Lives campaign is a participatory challenge aimed at eradicating illegal private lending and protecting financially vulnerable people who have difficulty accessing mainstream financial services. Jo joined the campaign after being nominated by Lee Seokki, CEO of Kyobo Securities, and named Kim Gihyeon, CEO of Kiwoom Asset Management, and Kim Daeil, CEO of Shinyoung Securities, as the next participants.
Along with employees, Jo shared the message, “We will protect people with finance that saves lives so they are no longer driven to illegal private lending,” and highlighted the importance of preventing illegal private lending.
