She explained the concepts of sexual harassment and sexual violence and key cases; the responsibilities and duties of senior civil servants; procedures for providing relief to victims and response manuals; and ways to prevent digital sex crimes.
She particularly emphasized the importance of managers' roles and response capabilities in protecting victims and preventing secondary harm when an incident occurs.
Training on the prevention of the four major forms of violence is legally required and covers the prevention of sexual harassment, prostitution, sexual violence and domestic violence. After holding in-person sessions for all employees in May and July, Gyeongsangnam-do conducted this sexual harassment and sexual violence prevention training for senior civil servants.
Those who have not completed the training are expected to do so by the end of the year through online and audiovisual courses.
Gyeongsangnam-do continues its efforts to prevent related harm and foster a safe organizational culture, including by operating a sexual harassment reporting center on its internal administrative network and implementing a plan to prevent sexual harassment, sexual violence and stalking.
