Kipeu users can add to the fun of being a fan by chatting with characters created by artists themselves about K-pop. The characters remember users' preferences and previous conversations and reflect them in future chats, and they may also start conversations. The service also offers features that share news about artists and continue conversations on those topics, or turn the day's conversations into illustrated diary entries.

Users can chat by text in chat mode and interact with characters on screen in character mode. In character mode, characters respond with movements that match the conversation, such as waving when a user says, "Hi!"

The first artists to participate in Kipeu are the girl group FIFTY FIFTY, represented by ATTRAKT. The official character, "Weny," was created with the members directly involved, from developing the persona to designing its appearance.

Kipeu is available in Korean to users aged 14 and older through iOS and Android apps. Users can enjoy some chats for free each day, while a monthly subscription for 3,900 won provides unlimited chats.

"Krafton has spent a long time researching AI that enables game characters to communicate naturally with users," said Park Jaemin, head of Krafton's AI Frontier Division. "Building on that experience, we have created a new way for fans to enjoy artists' worlds more closely." He added, "Starting with Kipeu, we will expand our AI business to include more artists and reach broader markets."
