It was a large-scale forum for employment opportunities, designed to offer tailored job opportunities to a diverse range of job seekers, including women whose careers were interrupted, young people, and middle-aged and older adults.
A total of 160 companies from 12 cities and counties, including Mokpo, took part in the event and announced plans to hire 341 people. The venue featured 72 booths, including on-site interview and employment consulting booths, as well as startup experience and AI virtual convergence experience booths. A range of one-stop employment support services for job seekers was offered, from help writing resumes and interview consultations to information on vocational training.
After taking a close look around the booths, Choi reiterated his view that women's participation in economic activities is a key driver not only of individual independence but also of local economic revitalization.
He emphasized that vocational education and employment support should be more closely linked so women can respond proactively to the rapidly changing industrial environment, and that local communities and businesses should work together to expand access to quality jobs.
