Discuss AI-driven changes to decision-making and organizational operations

About 50 presidents of key Samsung affiliates met with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman to discuss how artificial intelligence (AI) will transform corporate management and future business strategies. Samsung plans to accelerate its companywide AI transformation (AX), starting with executives and expanding efforts to enhance AI capabilities among all employees.
Samsung said on the 31st that it had invited CEO Altman to a meeting with its presidents at the Samsung Human Resources Development Center in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. About 50 presidents from key affiliates in electronics, finance and biotechnology, including Samsung Electronics, attended.

They also discussed how AI will change corporate decision-making and organizational operations. Key agenda items included the capabilities executives need in a rapidly changing business environment and ways to apply AI to practical work.
Before meeting with CEO Altman, the presidents also took part in hands-on training in generative AI. They learned how to use AI to organize scattered management materials, build personalized "knowledge repositories" and apply them to decision-making.
Since launching its first intensive AI training program for presidents in June, Samsung has been working to incorporate AI across its operations, including research and development (R&D), production, marketing and support. To date, it has provided AI training to about 2,300 executives and plans to complete training for all employees by February 2027.
Samsung is also expanding its cooperation with OpenAI. In October 2025, Samsung Electronics and OpenAI signed a letter of intent (LOI) to cooperate on building global AI infrastructure and have been pursuing the supply of memory semiconductors needed for OpenAI's Stargate project.
