Government Launches TF to Track National Project Implementation, Accelerates 3 Key Initiatives Including K-GX
The government has launched a pan-government task force (TF) to review progress on the Korea Green Transformation (K-GX), the seven SEED projects, and three key livelihood projects covering housing, jobs, and financial services for ordinary people. The initiative aims to foster cooperation among ministries and monitor implementation so that major national projects lead to tangible policy outcomes rather than ending with their announcement.

Attendees included the Vice Minister of Employment and Labor; the Vice Chairman of the Financial Services Commission; the Minister of Data and Statistics; the Director General for Climate, Energy and Environmental Policy at the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment; and the Director General for Science and Technology Policy at the Ministry of Science and ICT.
The TF was formed to flesh out implementation plans and review progress on three major national projects that have a significant impact on the public and require cooperation among multiple ministries. The First Vice Minister of Finance and Economy chairs the meetings and also supports coordination of differences and cooperation among ministries.
At the meeting, participants focused on reviewing implementation of the K-GX strategy announced on October 7. Of the 151 total projects, 130 are subject to review: 88 projects scheduled for 2026 and 42 for 2027, excluding medium- and long-term projects. The government said all projects are proceeding as planned.
The government plans to flesh out implementation frameworks and strategies for each of the seven SEED projects by the end of 2026. Based on these plans, it aims to begin full-scale investment, demonstration, and commercialization in 2027.
For the three key livelihood projects covering housing, jobs, and financial services for ordinary people, the government is also operating an interministerial working group to develop detailed initiatives. It plans to actively identify initiatives that will allow the public to feel the impact of policy changes and flesh them out swiftly.
