The temporary station building was constructed as part of the Dobongsan–Okjeong metropolitan railway project, for which Gyeonggi Province is the project implementer. During the closure, construction crews built the temporary station and platform and connected them to the existing tracks.
After construction was completed, Seoul Metro and Gyeonggi Province conducted a joint inspection, an external specialist organization verified the facilities, and test runs were conducted to confirm safety and operational suitability. Seoul Metro also completed the administrative process on October 28, after receiving approval from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for changes to the railway safety management system needed to operate the temporary station. The agency plans to work with Gyeonggi Province to minimize confusion among passengers after service resumes.
