Participating young people will contribute 100,000 won a month for three years. During the first two years, Ansan City and KOSME will each contribute 20,000 won per month, for a total of 960,000 won. In the final year, employers will contribute 20,000 won per month, for a total of 240,000 won.
Compared with the existing Preferential Savings Deduction for Employees, the principal accumulated by maturity for young participants will increase by 480,000 won, from 4.32 million won to 4.8 million won. Meanwhile, employers' contributions will fall from 720,000 won to 240,000 won over three years. The city said this is the first program of its kind to be introduced in the Seoul metropolitan area.
The program is open to 100 young people aged 19 to 39 who live in Ansan City and work at small and medium-sized enterprises. Participants must maintain their registered residence in Ansan City while the city’s contributions are being accumulated. Details of the program and the application schedule will be announced later on KOSME’s Tomorrow-Filling Mutual Aid website.
