Revenue surged 31.7% and operating profit jumped 78.6% from the same period a year earlier.
In particular, cumulative operating profit in just three quarters was already about 18% higher than the full-year operating profit of 128.6 billion won last year. Cumulative revenue also approached 95% of last year's full-year revenue of 3.636 trillion won, demonstrating growth in both scale and quality.
The company also set a new quarterly record. Third-quarter revenue came to 1.1764 trillion won and operating profit to 30.9 billion won, up 37.6% and 4.5%, respectively, from the same period a year earlier. These were the highest third-quarter results since the company began compiling consolidated quarterly earnings in 2010, after adopting the Korea-International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS). In addition, quarterly revenue has remained above 1 trillion won for four consecutive quarters, following its first rise above that level in the fourth quarter of 2025, when it reached 1.0092 trillion won, sustaining solid growth.
Across business segments, key businesses including high-voltage and subsea cables, industrial cables, and communications cables performed evenly well. In particular, large-scale high-voltage cable projects secured in key markets across North America, Europe, and Asia began to make a full contribution to revenue, driving improved results.
Its order backlog also continued to climb steeply. Taihan Cable secured 809 billion won in new orders in the third quarter, and its cumulative order backlog reached a record 4.3073 trillion won as of the end of the quarter. This was more than four times the level at the end of 2021, shortly after the company joined the Hoban Group.
Taihan Cable held an investor relations (IR) briefing for institutional investors and securities analysts on Oct. 29, sharing strategic order wins recently secured in major developed markets, including the United States, Germany, and Australia, and reaffirming its competitiveness as a key global supplier. The company also said it would actively pursue new orders by leveraging its long-accumulated expertise in high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission and subsea cables to respond to growing market demand driven by government initiatives, including the Korea Green Transformation (K-GX) strategy and the West Coast Energy Expressway project.
