This includes the regular dividend of KRW 376 per share." It added, "As announced in August, total third-quarter cash dividends, including the regular dividend under the three-year shareholder return policy for 2024 through 2026, will amount to approximately KRW 30 trillion and are scheduled to be paid in November."
The company also outlined specific plans for deploying the remaining shareholder return funds this year. Samsung Electronics said, "Of the total shareholder return of KRW 90 trillion to KRW 110 trillion for 2026, KRW 35 trillion has been allocated for shareholder returns, including amounts already deployed and the KRW 30 trillion in cash dividends approved today. This leaves KRW 55 trillion to KRW 75 trillion in remaining funds." It stressed, "We plan to use the remaining funds for shareholder returns through cash dividends and substantial share buybacks and cancellations."
Samsung Electronics said, "We are aware of the market's keen interest in the price gap between common and preferred shares. In terms of shareholder equality, maximizing capital allocation and enhancing corporate value, we will actively consider and adjust the proportion of preferred shares in our buybacks and cancellations based on market conditions."
