The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said on October 29 that it will hold the "Content Dispute Mediation Forum" on November 6 at the Seoul Science and Technology Convention Center, together with the Korea Creative Content Agency and the Content Dispute Mediation Committee. The forum will bring together experts from industry, the legal profession and academia to explore ways to prevent and resolve disputes for content businesses and users.

In the keynote address, Ryu Jeonghye, co-chair of the AI Future Forum, will discuss the impact of technological advances under the theme "AI and the Rapidly Changing Content Industry Environment." In the presentations, Seo Jonghee, a professor at Yonsei University Law School, will examine the platform-centered content distribution structure and changes in dispute patterns; Kang Jiwon, a U.S. attorney at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC, will review trends in copyright disputes involving AI training data; and Moon Eubin, a professor at Kookmin University College of Law, will address harm to users from ticket scalping and measures to ensure fair distribution.

The subsequent panel discussion will focus on the theme "Content Disputes in a Changing Landscape: How Should Mediation Evolve?" Ryu Jeonghye will moderate, with attorney Kim Hyeongji of Kim & Chang and producer Lee Jonghyeon of MPMG participating as panelists.

Kim Yunji, president of the Korea Creative Content Agency, said, "As the content industry environment rapidly changes around AI and platforms, understanding and responding to new types of disputes has become increasingly important. We hope this forum will provide an opportunity to explore effective ways to prevent and mediate disputes for both content businesses and users."
