KB Securities, SK Telecom to Collaborate on Financial Services for "AI for Everyone"
Exploring ways to integrate finance-focused AI technology with SK Telecom's AI platform
KB Securities said on October 28 that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with SK Telecom on October 22, drawing on its proprietary financial artificial intelligence (AI) technology and expertise in investment and wealth management. The two companies will explore ways to collaborate on the use of AI in finance, with KB Securities newly joining the “AI for Everyone” consortium.
“AI for Everyone” is a government initiative that helps people across the country use AI with ease. The SK Telecom consortium is developing an AI assistant service that enables users to obtain everyday information through conversation and access a range of services. KB Securities has applied generative AI to the analysis of financial products and investment information, as well as reviews of financial product sales processes. It has also built up relevant expertise through the successful operation of Kkaebi AI, its proprietary financial AI agent service.
KB Securities and SK Telecom plan to discuss the scope of their cooperation in stages, with KB Securities focusing on designing and enhancing financial AI functions and verifying their quality, and SK Telecom focusing on platform integration and expanding user access. The collaboration will center on “strengthening financial consumer protection” and “supporting personalized wealth management.” It is intended to help customers understand complex financial information more easily and gain a broader view of their assets.
The goal is to create a service environment that is easy to use not only for customers with extensive financial experience but also for older adults and financial beginners. The initiative also aims to narrow information gaps caused by differences in financial literacy and digital skills, enabling more customers to access professional financial information.
Through this collaboration, KB Securities plans to work with SK Telecom to bring its experience using AI in financial settings into customers’ daily lives, strengthen its service competitiveness by combining financial expertise and technology, and establish a framework for cooperation that connects telecommunications and finance.
