AhnLab Q3 Operating Profit Rises 38.7% to 10.9 Billion Won
Growth in the Network Security and Global Businesses
Improved Results Amid Rising Demand for EDR and MDR
AhnLab posted double-digit growth in the third quarter of this year, driven by growth in its network security and global businesses.
On October 28, AhnLab announced preliminary results showing consolidated revenue of 79.5 billion won and operating profit of 10.9 billion won for the third quarter of this year. These figures were up 23.1% and 38.7%, respectively, from the same period last year.
Consolidated revenue for the first three quarters totaled 209.8 billion won, up 14% year over year, while cumulative operating profit reached 18.2 billion won, an increase of 5.9 billion won from the same period last year.
Improved results were driven by the network security and global businesses. AhnLab said its network security business posted growth of more than 100% year over year in the third quarter, while rising demand for security solutions such as endpoint detection and response (EDR) and managed detection and response (MDR) contributed to revenue growth. The global business also achieved double-digit growth year over year.
