A personal information leak occurred after Bithumb, a cryptocurrency exchange, was hacked through its internal mobile system.
Bithumb said on October 28 that it confirmed the previous day that personal information had been leaked due to abnormal access to its internal mobile groupware system by an unauthorized external party.
Bithumb reported the breach to the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and the Personal Information Protection Commission on the day it became aware of it.
