Unveils Production Solution Featuring High-Speed HM Series Chip Mounters
New DECAN Plus Series Debuts in Chinese Market
Targets High-Performance Board Markets, Including AI Servers and Automotive Electronics
Hanwha Semitech is setting its sights on Greater China, the world's largest surface-mount technology (SMT) market. The company will participate in NEPCON Asia 2026 in Shenzhen, China, showcasing a high-speed chip mounter production line and new products to expand its presence in the local market.
Hanwha Semitech said it will participate in NEPCON Asia 2026, which will be held from October 27 to 29 at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center in China.
NEPCON Asia is a leading SMT trade show in Asia, attracting more than 600 companies, including manufacturers from around the world, and over 70,000 visitors each year. Held in Shenzhen, China, where global information technology (IT) manufacturers and production bases are concentrated, it is considered a key trade show for targeting the Greater China market.
A chip mounter is equipment that rapidly and precisely mounts various electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs). As a key piece of equipment that determines the productivity and quality of SMT production lines, it is facing growing demands for mounting precision and production speed as electronic components become smaller and demand for high-performance boards expands.
At the exhibition, Hanwha Semitech will unveil an in-line production solution combining its high-speed HM520 chip mounter with the HM520W, which handles large and heavy boards. The solution combines high-speed component mounting with the ability to handle large boards, helping deliver the efficiency and flexibility required to manufacture high-performance electronic products.
Building on this, the company plans to focus on sectors where demand for high-performance boards is growing, including AI servers, network equipment, and automotive electronics. Its strategy is to expand customer engagement and strengthen its market presence, particularly among global manufacturers with production bases in China.
The company will also unveil its new DECAN Plus chip mounter series in the Chinese market for the first time. Offering greater speed and precision than previous models, the product is aimed at replacement demand for aging equipment, with the company planning to expand its presence in the local market.
Hanwha Semitech will also demonstrate its T-Solution production management software at the exhibition. The company plans to highlight its capabilities as an integrated solutions provider that goes beyond equipment supply to improve production-line operating efficiency, showcasing features that manage the entire manufacturing process, from production planning to program and materials management and production monitoring.
