Yangpyeong County, Gyeonggi Province, asked the Construction and Transportation Committee of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council to secure additional compensation funds for the Yanggeundaegyo Bridge project, extend the local road route to lay the groundwork for construction of the Gangha Bridge, and provide budget support to begin the Jungwoncheon river maintenance project.

Attendees included Go Chanseok, chair of the Construction and Transportation Committee; vice chairs Kim Cheolhwan and Yoon Sunok; and the heads of Gyeonggi Province's Road Policy Division and River Division. County officials, including the deputy county governor and the director of the Urban Construction Bureau, explained the status of the projects and called for budget support and institutional cooperation.
The county's main requests concerning roads were to secure compensation funds for the Yanggeundaegyo Bridge project and lay the groundwork for construction of the Gangha Bridge. It asked Gyeonggi Province to include the additional compensation funds in its budget so the Yanggeundaegyo Bridge project can proceed without disruption.
The Gangha Bridge is a planned bridge about 1 km long and 11 m wide, connecting Jeonsu-ri in Gangha-myeon with Bokpo-ri in Yangseo-myeon. Its planned project cost is about 80 billion won. The county explained the need for the project, saying that residents have to take detours because there is no bridge crossing the Namhan River along the approximately 33 km stretch from Paldang Bridge to Yanggeundaegyo Bridge.
To support the project, the county asked that a plan to extend the terminus of Provincial Road No. 333 by about 5 km, from Wangchang-ri in Gangha-myeon to Bokpo-ri in Yangseo-myeon, be included in the 2026 provincial road network revision plan.
On river projects, the county shared updates on the Heukcheon flood-prone area improvement project and the detailed design for the Heukcheon District 2 local river maintenance project, and requested that construction of the Jungwoncheon local river maintenance project begin as soon as possible.
The Jungwoncheon maintenance project will cover the area from Johyeon-ri to Jungwon-ri in Yongmun-myeon, with a total project cost of more than 25 billion won. To prevent loss of life and property damage from river flooding, the county asked Gyeonggi Province to allocate 2.5 billion won in its 2027 main budget to begin construction.
