This year, the center invited submissions of photos of representative attractions from 227 local governments nationwide and selected content showcasing each region's distinctive features, including its landscapes, cultural heritage and tourist destinations. The selected photos will be displayed simultaneously on 12 screens across six locations in the digital media belt.
Starting in the last week of October with Busan's Buk-gu district's "Gupo Naru Festival," Jung-gu district in Daegu's "Kim Gwang-seok Street," Sasu-dong Underpass in Daegu's Buk-gu district, and the "Bupyeong Pungmul Festival" in Incheon’s Bupyeong-gu district, the project will feature attractions from across the country over 10 weeks. Tourism resources from Sejong, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, North Chungcheong, South Chungcheong, North Jeolla, North Gyeongsang and South Gyeongsang provinces will also be featured.
The name of each region and attraction will appear at the top of each photo, making it easy to identify where the tourist destination is located.
The project is designed to raise awareness of local tourism resources through large digital displays in Seoul and encourage people to visit in person. It aims to support local governments in attracting tourists and revitalizing their economies by providing them with free promotional opportunities.
