LVMC Holdings Affiliate KR Motors Rebrands as 'DynaMac,' Strengthens Auto Parts Business
KR Motors, a major affiliate of LVMC Holdings, is reorganizing its business structure around the manufacture of precision automotive parts.
LVMC Holdings announced on October 27 that KR Motors held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on October 22 and approved a proposal to change its name to DynaMac Co., Ltd. The company will also relocate its headquarters from Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, to Daejeon Metropolitan City.
The name change follows KR Motors' absorption merger with DynaMac, a company specializing in automotive parts, on September 30, 2026. KR Motors plans to move beyond its traditional motorcycle-focused business structure, expand into the manufacture of precision automotive parts, and put the expertise and brand of DynaMac, the company it absorbed, front and center.
As of 2025, DynaMac, now merged into KR Motors, was a precision automotive parts manufacturer with annual revenue of approximately KRW 79.2 billion. Using its cold-forging equipment and related technologies, it produces components including caliper pistons for automotive brake systems, as well as parts for electric drive systems and vehicle braking and powertrain systems.
With the absorption merger, KR Motors has added the manufacture of precision automotive parts to its existing motorcycle business. The company aims to use this as an opportunity to build competitiveness in automotive parts manufacturing and establish a new source of revenue.
LVMC Holdings is also looking to potential synergies with its existing automotive manufacturing, sales, and distribution businesses, as the business structure of its affiliate shifts toward automotive parts manufacturing.
In particular, the company expects the stable establishment of the automotive parts business to help improve the affiliate's earnings structure and operational efficiency. By linking LVMC Holdings' finished-vehicle distribution and manufacturing network with its automotive parts manufacturing business, it also plans to enhance corporate value over the medium to long term and strengthen the group's competitiveness.
An LVMC Holdings official said, "The merger of KR Motors with DynaMac and the name change are significant because they reorganize the existing business structure and mark a transition to a new business system. We hope that bringing the automotive parts manufacturing business into the company will help stabilize operations and strengthen competitiveness over the medium to long term."
