[Smart Finance Awards] Customer-Tailored MTS Upgrades... Scores in the 90s in All Six Categories
Samsung Securities Wins MTS Innovation Award
Services Tailored by Life Stage and Asset Level
“Investor Holdings Analysis” Uses Actual Trading Data
Samsung Securities received the “MTS Innovation Award (Financial Supervisory Service Governor’s Award)” in the mobile trading system (MTS) evaluation at the 2026 Asia Smart Finance Awards. It was highly rated for enhancing its MTS across the board through a consistent strategy of “tailored design for each customer segment,” rather than focusing on a single feature.
Samsung Securities scored above 90 points in all six evaluation categories, including by segmenting its MTS according to customers’ life stages and asset levels and providing global investment information powered by artificial intelligence (AI). It was the only securities firm to score in the 90s in all six categories. Its overall score rose 2.90 points from 88.7 points the previous year, marking the largest improvement among the 10 firms.
This year, Samsung Securities strengthened services tailored to customers’ life stages, including retirement pensions and wealth management for children. Launched in January, “Pension Home” brings pension-related features previously scattered across multiple menus together on one screen, making them easier to use while providing information needed for investment decisions, such as return analysis, comparisons with peer groups, cash-equivalent asset balances and exchange-traded fund (ETF) recommendations. It is designed to let users assess their pension status and explore investment opportunities, going beyond simple account inquiries.
The company also launched a wealth management service for children that links child allowances, gifts and stock accumulation. It enables parents to invest funds received by their children and support long-term asset building. In July, the company also made it possible to complete Customer Due Diligence (CDD·EDD) for minor children’s accounts remotely, whereas this had previously required a visit to a branch.
Samsung Securities is also continuing to revamp its investment information to better support practical decision-making. It has added analysis items such as company appeal, revenue composition and dividends to its corporate information content. Its “myPICK” service for high-net-worth individuals now connects users with investment reports, tax and real estate information, and consultations with private bankers (PBs), making its wealth management service more comprehensive.
The company has also expanded its provision of AI-powered investment information. “Global Talk,” launched in April, translates posts from overseas investment communities while displaying the original text, allowing users to see overseas retail investors’ views on individual stocks in real time. The company also launched “Investment Masters’ Recipe,” which draws on Wall Street investors’ Form 13F filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). It provides content on leading investors’ portfolios and strategies, while offering a more varied investment discovery experience through personality tests and return comparisons.
The “Investor Holdings Analysis” service, which turns the company’s customers’ actual trading data into investment information, is also drawing attention. It provides the number of investors in each stock; average purchase prices and returns; holdings by asset level and age group; and information on the top 1% of investors. It is considered a distinctive example of providing information that can inform investment decisions by analyzing the trading behavior of actual investors.
