Hana Asset Management to List '1Q U.S. AI Tech Platform TOP 10' ETF
From AI Models to Data and Security
Concentrated Investment in 10 Leading U.S. AI Platform Companies
Hana Asset Management announced on Oct. 26 that it will list the "1Q U.S. AI Tech Platform TOP 10" exchange-traded fund (ETF) on Oct. 27.
The ETF tracks the "iSelect U.S. AI Tech Platform TOP 10 Index." It selects leading companies across five areas: AI platforms and models, AI applications and agents, AI security, AI data management, and cloud and AI infrastructure. The weight of each constituent is calculated by assigning equal 50% weights to its market capitalization and its keyword score, which reflects its relevance to AI.
As of Sept. 30, the underlying index comprised Alphabet Class A (23.98%), Microsoft (22.99%), Amazon (17.09%), and Meta (11.88%), as well as Palantir, Snowflake, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Cloudflare, and Datadog.
The index methodology also includes a separate review process for incorporating newly listed companies. If major AI model developers list on U.S. stock exchanges in the future, their inclusion in the index may be determined based on the eligibility criteria and the index committee's review. The review will begin when official listing documents become public. If a company is selected, it will be added in installments over three business days, from the opening of the U.S. market on the second business day after its listing date (T+2) through the fourth business day after listing (T+4).
The methodology was designed to reflect new investment opportunities in a timely manner while promoting the stable management of the underlying index by taking into account price volatility during the initial listing period and the market impact of inclusion.
"The growth of the AI industry is creating new investment opportunities not only through technological development but also through the application of AI to actual services and work," said Kim Taewoo, CEO of Hana Asset Management. "The 1Q U.S. AI Tech Platform TOP 10 ETF combines companies that develop AI models with platform companies that enable the use of AI, including those in data and security, and is designed to provide exposure to the medium- to long-term growth of the AI ecosystem."
