Unforced errors compounded her difficulties, and she lost the opening game 16-21. An Seyoung changed the momentum from the second game onward. After taking an early lead, she won the game 21-11 to level the match. In the deciding third game, the two remained neck and neck at 9-9, but An Seyoung then scored six consecutive points to seize control and eventually close out the match 21-12. She also extended her dominant head-to-head record against Sindhu to 11 wins in 11 matches.
The victory marked An Seyoung's 10th title of the season. She has now won five consecutive international tournaments she has entered, following the World Championships, China Masters, 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games and Denmark Open.
Since losing to Wang Zhiyi of China in the All England Open final last March, An Seyoung has won 50 consecutive matches. Her record for the year stands at 66 wins and one loss in 67 matches, giving her a 98.5% winning percentage.
After claiming her ninth title of the season at the Denmark Open last week, An Seyoung has now topped the podium at two consecutive European tournaments. She won 11 tournaments in 2025, tying the record for the most titles in a single season across men's and women's singles, and remains on track to break the record this year.
