Seongnam to Conduct Cadastral Resurvey of 645 Parcels in Siheung, Sangdaewon, and Yatap-dong Next Year
Seongnam City to Resolve Land Boundary Discrepancies
Districts to Be Designated After Gathering Residents' Opinions and Securing Landowners' Consent
Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Shin Sang-jin) said it has established an implementation plan for its 2027 cadastral resurvey project to resolve discrepancies in land boundaries and protect residents' property rights.
The project covers 645 parcels across three districts in Siheung, Sangdaewon, and Yatap. The total area is 515,000 square meters.
By district, the project covers 190 parcels in Seolgae 1 District around 17-16, Siheung-dong; 212 parcels in Sagimakgol District around 9, Sangdaewon-dong; and 243 parcels in Yatap 2 District around 4-2, Yatap-dong.
A cadastral resurvey is a national project that precisely surveys areas where land boundaries recorded in cadastral records do not match actual land use, and corrects those boundaries. It has been underway from 2012 through 2030 to prevent land boundary disputes and protect property rights.
The city plans to gather opinions from landowners and other interested parties through public inspection and notices, as well as resident briefings. It will then seek consent from at least two-thirds of the total number of landowners and from owners of at least two-thirds of the land area before proceeding with the designation of the project districts.
