15 local companies take part in the Busan Special Pavilion at BEXCO

From drone and personal color experiences to live commerce

The 2026 Korea Small Business Owners’ Convention, where products and technologies from small business owners across the country come together under one roof, opened at BEXCO in Busan on Oct. 23. A total of 153 companies from across the country are exhibiting their products, while small business owners in Busan have also set up a separate exhibition hall to promote local brands.

Co-hosted by Busan City, led by Mayor Jeon Jae-soo, and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the convention runs through Oct. 24 at Hall 4 of BEXCO Exhibition Center 2. Under the theme “A Greater Korea, Made by Small Business Owners,” it is expected to draw around 3,000 small business owners and citizens from across the country.

The product sales exhibition features companies from a range of fields, including long-established small businesses, local companies, young small business owners, and developers of R&D-based lifestyle innovation products. Thirty-seven Busan companies are also taking part, 15 of which are showcasing food, handicrafts, coffee, beauty products, and more in the Busan Special Pavilion.

Hands-on programs are also available for citizens to experience small business owners’ skills firsthand. Activities include drone displays and experiences, personal color consultations, making toys for companion dogs, cake and cookie decorating, flower arranging, and terrarium workshops. Demonstrations and tasting events by master chefs are also being held. A total of seven industry associations are participating.

Programs offering business information and connections to online sales channels are also taking place. The Busan Small Business Livelihood and Innovation Forum, labor and legal education sessions, and a commemorative seminar are being held. On Oct. 24, the “Small Business Live Commerce Day” will support online sales and product promotion.

The opening ceremony was held on the main stage at 2 p.m. on Oct. 23. More than 1,000 people, including officials from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Busan City, as well as small business owners, attended. They watched a policy video and honored contributors to the development of small businesses.

Busan Mayor Jeon Jae-soo said, “I hope this event will widely promote the outstanding products and technologies of small business owners and lead to increased sales and new growth opportunities. We will continue to provide support that people can feel on the ground.”
